1 Year & 45 Days of Writing a Novel
I found this last night in my manuscript:
————————–HERE ARE THE RULES/TH LAYOUT FOR THE REST OF THE CHAPTER. ANYTHING BELOW THE NEXT SET OF DASHES IS A GODDAMN LIE AND NEEDS TO BE KINCKED AND CRUNCHED INTO THE RULES OF THIS LAYOUT
I was struck by the fact that it had been exactly one month since I had really worked on the chapter. I’ve written since then…but not a lot. Only pulled a few weeds..I haven’t grown anything for the harvest.
This piece of the story is a driftwood shipwreck of paragraphs and possibilities. It’s amazing to me how many times I thought I was going to be done with it “tomorrow” or “Saturday”.
But I’m writing again, later today, and I’ll probably be done with it by this weekend…
