The Martian can be seen here in Merry Men of Mars. This is a marker based illustration by Weshoyot Alvitre. After 6 years of me seeing it and wanting on my damn wall, it is now available as a digital print HERE . I don’t know if it’s common or not, but this is an art print based on my unfinished novel “Merry Men, or Those Who Wear Green”.   Weshoyot drew it in 2009, after I sent her the first very rough few pages and asked her if she’d like to illustrate it (back then it was going to a be a serialized story on a now defunct for good reason website).   one of the major concerns of the story is that it needs to be spread, fictionalized knowledge treated as a virus, to stay alive. The very idea that people will hang this in their homes before ever reading the book is exactly the only way this print could happen. You’ll hear more about Merry Men eventually. For now there’s bits-and -blops and the Patreon, and a weird radio show will be premiering soon as well… This is strange and rad and I love it.
